DAY in the park, in the sun, nice San Diego breeze, Chicago,IL.
for a day that started out ominous and sketchy, looking like the sky was going to unload
a weeks worth of moisture on today's outdoor gig, it has turned into a very,
very nice day!
i find myself out back of the stage in the catering/dressing room area,
sitting at a picnic table and enjoying the breeze. the gig electricians
were cool enough to bring power out here to the dining area
(i asked nicely) for laptops, not just the lights under the tent tops!
 
lunch was Mexican food, veggy and carnivor, fresh and rather yummy.
the dressing rooms are trailers, comfortable to be sure but no toilet or sink. rather,
there are "blue-juice-devils" outside for our "convenience".
from the looks of things dinner is going to be bun-assisted burguesa-esq fare.
but i do not see a grill.... hmm....
 
got in a sound check of sorts today, don't know if it really did any good,
but the man asked for it, i arranged it and i think that it was worth the wrath
of the band for being ousted at 12:30.    time will tell
 
the dj, gee-fuss has started his schtick, has the crowd working a call and response
Jah-Rastafari thing and doing some hand gestures to the beat. he is pretty good,
gets a response from just about every house we have had!
 
Looner is up on stage now, they have 4 tunes , pop-rock duet, huge sound!
